Good Old Times

Here is some of my early work I did at College. I've decided to dig out some old pics to celebrate the arrival of my NVQ Level 2 certificate in Cosmetic Make-Up! Woo hoo!!! Gosh, I have already forgotten how hard it was to do a decent looking make-up using the modest kit put together for us, students, by the College. Just thinking of the almost white "translucent" face powder that made everyone look like a ghost, the hard as nails eye pencils impossible to "warm up" and the splaying out brushes, that would make you apply make up anywhere, but in the place you want it to go... Good old times...

Aby dogodnie uczcic otrzymany w porannej poczcie dyplom z kursu Makijazu Kosmetycznego NVQ Level 2 (hurra!!!), postanowilam wrzucic kilka fotek z czasow College'u. Juz prawie zapomnilam z jaka trudnoscia probowalam robic makijaze kolezankom z grupy uzywajac zestawu do makijazu skompletowanego przez College. Sama mysl o bialym jak maka pudrze sypkim, przez ktory kazda z moich modelek wygladala jak zjawa, albo kredkach do powiek twardych jak kamien, czy pedzlach, ktorych wlosie "rozjezdzalo" sie na boki nakladajac makijaz dokladnie w te miejsca w ktorych nie chialam go nalozyc... Ah, ah... stare dobre czasy....

Make me look like her, please....

     My beautiful model opened a UK edition of Glamour magazine on a page, where the beautiful Daria Werbowy was showing off her beauty in the latest make up looks. She looked stunning!

Well, you know what came next.... "Do you think you could try to recreate her look on me, please? I never tried using a black eveliner this way cuz I think it makes me look cheap. And look at her, she looks amazing!"

So I did it and here it is... I used a black eyeliner pencil on the inner rim of the eye to get this look. It seems like an easy look, but be careful when you do it yourself - not everyone can pull it off! I tried to wear it twice before and both times had photos taken of me, where I could clearly see how small my eyes suddenly looked. And I do have "a big pair of eyes on me" (as observed by a security guard, who scrutinised my passport photo, while I was queing to the American Embassy to apply for a visa).

Pewnie wiesz co nastapilo potem: " Moglabys zrobic mi taki makijaz jak ma ona? Nigdy nie robie czarnej kreski dookola bo boje sie ze wygladam wtedy jak jakas lafirynda. No i zobacz, ona w tym make-up'ie wyglada tu rewelacyjnie!"  Nie mialam wyboru, tylko sprobowac zrobic z niej druga Darie, no i oto wynik mojej pracy. Uzylam czarnej kredki w wewnetrznej czesci powieki co wyglada bardzo seksownie, ale uwaga, niestety nie kazdemu to pasuje! Moje oczy, mimo ze ogromne (jak to skomentowal jeden ze straznikow Ambasady Amerykanskiej w Londynie po ogledzinach mojego zdjecia paszportowego), automatycznie sie zmiejszaja i robia sie plaskie. Pomalowalam sie w ten sposob dwa razy i z obu dni mam zdjecia, na ktorych wyraznie widac, ze ten makijaz zupelnie nie jest dla mnie. Moja modelka natomiast jest wrecz stworzona by nosic ten look. Szczesciara!

Holding on to the Summer.....

This probably is one of my favourite nail colours in the world for the simple fact that is so beautifully complements tanned skin! My way of trying to keep the Summer here for a little longer... Its called Yucatan If You Want..... Love it!

To jest prawdopodobnie jeden z najlepszych kolorow paznokci jaki kiedykolwiek odkrylam. A to dlatego, ze tak wspaniale podkresla opalenizne, nawet bardzo delikatna. Uwielbiam gdzy moje paznokcie sa nim pomalowane - to moj sposob na zatrzymanie lata jeszcze chwilke dluzej... Nazywa sie Yucatan If You Want!
